TYRRELLS WOOD 22nd April 2008 The sun shone for the first outing in Captain Harland's reign and 22 golfers of variable standard enjoyed themselves in the sunshine at Tyrrells Wood. Unfortunately the Captain's 'Drive In' occured on the first tee, as Chris's drive toppled off the end of the tee. Apparently his tee shot on the 2nd was much better. (Photo) The rest of the afternoon as disappointing judging by the scores, probably due to the very tricky pin positions we found. The day was won by Stuart Marsh with 36 points off 16. (very good), Runner ups were Chris Harland with 35 points off 14 ( a Tyrrells Wood member !!!) and Simon Nunn also with 35 points off 15. Nearest the Pin ( renamed only ball on the green) was Simon Hunt and Peter Clayton picked up a very valuable pen for his valiant 19 points. Results for Tyrrells Wood .... click here |
